Re: Post a picture of a cat

So what was the outcome, new motherboard and processor? I take it that you were building a new computer so the motherboard was at fault. I think that they could have made the die of the processor larger and used the same pins that they used on earlier processors which had stood the test of time? No...

Re: Post a picture of a cat

My cat was watching me build my son a new computer last night and as I was about to fit the processor into (or rather on to its nail bed, haha) my lab cat suddenly started talking to me with the same voice she uses when she sees a reflected spot of light that she loves to chase. I looked at her and ...

Those that haven't yet been to the Imperial War Museum at Duxford and the one at London, RAF Hendon Museum and the Science Museum in London all are well worth visiting.

Chinesium TE has its place on a working workbench or on a tinkerer's sidebench. No judgement from this tinkerdwagon. :D mnem whatever it takes. The same from me as well, perfectly acceptable for the type of stuff that I do, not that I've done much of anything these days except moderating on platfor...

I have to agree about moderation being an impossible task. I'm a moderator on another local forum/social media platform that is actually a global platform but run as local areas to keep things more manageable, Some of my moderator colleagues, in my opinion, are not upto the job as they lack any comp...

Arriving early part of next week, something that has been eluding me at the right price for years. This beauty will take boards upto 240 mm long and a tad over 100 mm in depth, 3.2 litres in fluid capacity, just what I needed when I did that Black Star 4503 bench meter with that very high impedance...

Finally got some time to troubleshoot this plug-in. The defect with this plug-in was staring me right in the face. The Main Triggering Mode/Coupling/Source switches are supposed to light up. DS1 and DS3 on attached schematic. Verified that there's no +5V to the lamps. So in the process of tracking ...
