Yup. You just need to split the paralleled power pin fingers on the male edge card end - two per side.

Re: Test Equipment Anonymous (TEA) : Discussion and Group Therapy Thread
A thermal imager is definitely a useful tool, and they've certainly come down in price. I've never dealt with Banggood, so I've no input there. I got one of the FLIR iPhone/iPad dongle ones years ago and it helped me to fix the Fluke calibrator I got (for a few hundred $$ less than they initially wa...

Re: HP 211A
Some time back I also snagged their later, much simpler sand filled cousins - the 220A and 221A. The 220A outputs a negative square wave, the 221A a positive one. Both are badly in need of cleaning and restoration, as one needs a bit of imagination to consider their outputs to be square waves. Inter...

Re: Test Equipment Anonymous (TEA) : Discussion and Group Therapy Thread
Quick update on the ultrasonic cleaner, it did arrive all safe and sound along with enough jewellery cleaner concentrate to make upto about 20 litres but apart a quick unbox to check unwrap to check that is arrived in an undamaged state, which it did, nothing else has been done with it yet due to M...

Re: Post a picture of a cat
Schwarze Katze are VERY difficult to get good pictures of - probably only one in every 7-10 that I take of Ghost is anything that I find acceptable. Almost without fail, if the exposure is decent, she's dusty and looks like she's just been used to clean under the refrigerator. A good one: https://ph...

Re: Interesting findings on the internet
My friend had I think a 32" CRT set. He and I have moved it up and down stairs several times over the years at his wife's behest; it's definitely got some gravity in it. The last time we moved it, I was sorely tempted to drop it on her!

Re: Post a picture of a cat
Last night Harley got a crazy case of the 'Zoomies". Running at top speed back and forth and room to room like a maniac with a wild howl. One of his zooms knocked over our 4.5 foot Christmas tree. :o Blondie was not amused. Harley resistant (note I did not say PROOF ) tree mounting sug...

Re: Post a picture of a cat
Seasonal cat picture. cat and tree.jpg Ain't that the truth. Harley has already broken several. Arh, yes, but he's still a young kitten at heart, give him a couple of years and that will be a thing of the past. Exactly! Once he's got some experience, he'll start knocking the whole tree down...

Arrange some support blocks and stand it on its rear end with the plug in standing upright? If you had a lazy Susan that would let you access both sides easily. The challenge would be preventing Harley from knocking it over...

others here disagree......but I have always really liked the look of those dot LEDs. the 8640b locked to a rubidium standard is my go to sig generator for anything under 500 Mhz. Of course you would, as do I - they're the closest thing LED-wise to the display of a nixie tube! https://photos.smugmug...

Re: Test Equipment Anonymous (TEA) : Discussion and Group Therapy Thread
I did see a Polyskop shown doing something not very impressive, at the back of one of the stalls for £50. It looked very big and heavy. I'd guess it was some description of spectrum analyser. I'd heard of the name as one of the bits of kit used for setting up the filters in RA17s although that one ...

As for EEVBlog, do you and the others here frequent it still? I haven't looked at it since the big blowup other than spot reading the occasional thread that comes up in Google results for equipment I've looked up. Like you, I will occasionally land there after a web search, and have now and then ex...

Nice haul - those cabinets are very useful. Were you able to reconfigure those acdc electronics supplies to work on 120 V? They came from a Silent Key up in New Hampshire. He'd been a UHF TV station guy, I suspect they came from a transmitter. I'm a pack rat; he made me look like a rank amateur! -Pat
