Dave of EEVblog has just posted a video about this scam and he went along with the scammers plan using false information and presents it here.

btw if you find Dave's voice annoying as fuck, turn the volume down and hit the closed caption thing on the bottom and stick some music on. It helps :)

I don't mind Dave's voice, but I do find that sometimes Paul Carlson's voice can be a bit annoying at times, but boy does he know his stuff.

He's pretty good for a "young chap", but "grumpy old sods" who really worked with tube equipment for a living can often be heard muttering "bollocks!" into their long white beards.
