Are you softening on your cat stance then tggzzz?
What makes you say that?
The uncharacteristic missing derision!

How about a cat cartoon?

It is an established fact that piling on cats does not make you warmer; they do in fact suck warmth from the room. If you want to augment your bedroom's heat, you need dogs; preferably big ones that pant a lot with hot, humid breath... like Mastiffs and St. Bernards.

I know that some hold that theory, but I'm not convinced, I know that if my cats sit or sleep on me, I get very hot where they are and have to gently move them a bit to get comfortable again. Also, if you Google it, cats body temperature is about 2oF higher than that of a human, so they do in fact impart some heat to us.

It's bollocks. If the cat sucked energy out of the room, the cat would increase in temperature and stop working.

Cats work? News to me. (Managed to correct the typo "mews to me")
There are other ways that cats can warm people, as ISTR seeing illustrated in 101 Uses for A Dead Cat or one of the sequels.

Daughter's dog is expert at detecting things under floorboards. Can be a little embarrassing in shops and in friends' houses
Never had the opportunity to see whether it has the killer instinct.

Cats are weird (though you doubtless already know this). Some just like to curl up in sinks - I suppose because it’s like a little den, depressed below the surroundings and thus a 'safe' spot to snooze.

Safe spot. Hmmm.
I don't seem to have posted this
worthwhile video of a cat playing in a sink...
Doubt I'll get thanked. Don't care

Pigeons are small fry compared with herring gulls; you need double the quantity for a meal.
This adventurer stayed in Asda (was Wal-Mart until they sold up) for 16 days.
Didn't end up on the meat counter, presumably since Asda don't have a game licence.
ISTR there was another one a few weeks later
