Spotted a really OBD2 scanning tool on FB marketplace this morning, and it was local to going for just £52 new which kind of got my spidery sensors going mad (Amazon price for the same unit £399) so I enquired. After a while the seller responded with all the crap I was expecting, not able to collect at all as it was not local to me at all but was in a warehouse in Ireland and payment would only be accepted via Alipay, free delivery within 3 days and the price was low because it was allegedly being sold at cost price.
Yeah, I thought it was too good to be true, but you never know till you try, if it had been genuine, I'd be on that person doorstep in a flash for that, its a professional grade tool. Even if I was able to use PayPal, I might have gone for it as I'd have paid it "Goods and Services" so that I've had some protection against losing my money, but at least I was right to be cautious.
