Ghost town?

Post by Specmaster »

Is anybody actually active on here these days, or are you all busy in other areas of life, like me at the moment. I keep checking and I see that nothing seems to be happening?

I've loads of other things to do. It's been too hot to gather enthusiasm for anything much this summer so I have something of a back log to clear while the weather is good enough.

Some of us have been going to the radio rallies and comparing notes in the Events section.

I have several pieces of TE and related projects to tackle and write up. I'll do that through the winter.

Well, it is summer for another 23 days or so.

At the risk of asking whether you know how to suck eggs, do you use "quick links>>unread posts" and (less usefully) "quick links>>new posts".

Having said that, I ought to write up my playing around with my "frequency microscope" and a few frequency sources.

That's an egg I hadn't spotted! Thank you.

I'm about to box up a pair of AM503B in TM502A to go to a better home. This will take a while as I'll have to make the box...

I've got some stuff lined up for Fall when the weather is cooler. Even with A/C running a boat anchor can get uncomfortable.

It ebbs and flows quite a bit; we can go several days without a new post, and then there's several dozen posts in a day.

Discord is certainly more regularly active, but often runs so fast it's impossible to keep up, if you're away for a couple of hours

Agreed, that was one of the main reasons why I slowly withdrew from using it, even if you sit at the computer all the time, it was still very hard trying to keep up with everyone. Either trying to chat at the same on the audio section, or on the live keyboard section, you needed to be a touch typist, which I'm not, so responses were always slow and sometimes totally overlooked, as others had moved onto other topics.
