PM came to town.

Post by Specmaster »

Apparently our PM and the Home Secretary were in Chelmsford yesterday for a TV interview about anti-social behaviour and a walk about in the city centre and got heckled by locals. His police escorted motorcade was seen speeding around the ring road and I find myself wondering if they got to enjoy some of the really wonderful and spectacular potholes that we have, waiting to rip your tyres to shreds

While all of that was going on, I was at RAF Mildenhall in Suffolk.

I did wonder what the heck was going on because when I took SWMBO to her work there in the morning, was a particularly heavy presence of police around the place, not totally unusual to see police around, seeing as her court is next door to the police station, but there was much more than usual. :)
Who let Murphy in?

I've never had an egg when I needed one: a couple of Royals speeding around Brizzle, and Chancellor Kohl visiting the Siemens stand at a big trade exhibition in Hamburg.

I didn't and don't have anything against Kohl, and it did strike me that none of our PMs would be ever be seen at a trade fair.

Having said that, I quite understand John Prescott's reaction to being egged :)
