A heads-up that there are reports on the HP-Agilent-Keysight-equipment group that Artek Manuals (neé Media) isn't responding.
Let's all hope it is a false alarm and that Dave is OK.

Thanks for the heads-up; I know I'm not the first who's availed themselves of their services. Artek scans + poster-size LASER-prints of your schematics from Kinko's are a joy to work from.

The good news is that Artek's office manager, Linda, is filling orders and sending CDs by mail. Business is continuing.
The sad news is the Dave passed away on Easter. Linda, his wife and office manager, is continuing the business.
Currently only able to fill orders placed through eBay. Getting into the website and other IT issues to respond to backlog. I talked with her and for the near term she's requested phone calls to address orders and inquiries. I'm reluctant to post it in the thread and not sure which email addresses are getting through, so PM me for contact info until things are sorted out.
Dave, NR1DX, will be sorely missed, a termendous asset, contributor, with a wry sense of humor.

Saw that earlier - terrible news and a big loss to the community of test gear geeks. Dave was a very kind and helpful person. My understanding is that he had contingency plans in place to continue the operation, but that is cold comfort given his passing.

This is sad news. But I wonder why it's more difficult to send out a softcopy PDF via e-mail vs physically burning a CD and then sending it in the mail. Must be something I'm missing. I did check and the website appears to be up.tggzzz wrote: ↑Fri Apr 21, 2023 9:11 pm From https://groups.io/g/HP-Agilent-Keysight ... age/133950

I do recall during the Pandemic ordering a softcopy PDF and not getting a response for several days. Typically within hours of placing a PDF request it's in your inbox. Linda responded to my inquiry and stated her family was having Covid issues and please be patient. Of course I told her not to worry I was just wondering why I hadn't seen a response to my order.
An old gray beard with an attitude. I don't bite.....sometimes
Re: Artek Manuals/Media
That is very sad news. Although I did not know Dave personal, I ordered some manuals and they are the finest scan quality you can expect.
My condolences to his family.

One of the HP CLIPs was 100MB, a Tek package 60MB. Emails tend to choke on those, that's why I've used FTP to pull them.MED6753 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 22, 2023 9:44 amThis is sad news. The "IT issues" may be password access, ftp server operation, unfamiliarity with CLI or similar. It is more likely that an "innocent bystander" can burn a CD.
